The Ember Golem
A World Boss, fought on a stage in The Forge — five floors deep, with 1,000 health for every raider who comes through the gate and 30 minutes to bring it down.
The five floors
PhasesThe platform sinks a floor deeper each time its health crosses a line. What happens on each floor:
| Floor | From | What happens there | What it says |
|---|---|---|---|
| I. The Forge Gate | 100% | Slag Wave, The Searing Brand | THE FORGE... WAKES. |
| II. The Slag Rivers | 80% | Slag Wave, Magma Imps | BURN. AND KEEP BURNING. |
| III. The Bellows Hall | 60% | Slag Wave, Slag Prisons, Stoked Bellows | STOKE THE FIRE. FEED IT. |
| IV. The Magma Heart | 40% | Slag Wave, The Searing Brand, Stoked Bellows | DOWN. TO THE HEART. WHERE IRON MELTS. |
| V. The Caldera | 20% | Slag Wave, Magma Imps, Slag Prisons — and it enrages | THE MOUNTAIN OPENS. ALL OF IT BURNS. |
On floor V it enrages: everything it does hits 50% harder and comes 50% faster, until it dies.
What it does
The numbers are before the enrage. You never have to move or pick a target for any of it — on Auto the fight sends raiders where they are needed — but you can click any of its creatures to go after it yourself.
| Habit | Floors | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Slag Wave Hits everyone |
I, II, III, IV and V | Every 8.5 seconds the Ember Golem winds up for 1.6 seconds, then hits every raider standing for 13. Nothing reduces it — bring bandages and food. On floors II, IV and V it also leaves a burn: 2 more hits of 7, 2.5 seconds apart. |
| The Searing Brand Holds one raider |
I and IV | Every 12 seconds one raider is caught and cannot swing or cast for 4.5 seconds. |
| Magma Imps Adds |
II and V | Magma Imps: about one for every 3 raiders (at least 2, never more than 12 at once), each with 160 health plus 12 for every raider in the fight and biting for 8 every 2.4 seconds. 3 raiders are sent at each one. More come every 22 seconds while the floor lasts. |
| Slag Prisons Traps raiders |
III and V | Every 15 seconds about one raider in 6 is sealed in a Slag Prison with 100 health, and the 2 raiders nearest are sent to break them out. Anyone still inside after 12 seconds takes 65 as it closes. |
| Stoked Bellows Heals her if left |
III and IV | Every 32 seconds a Stoked Bellows is set down, with 40 health for each raider standing, and a quarter of the raid is sent at it. If it still stands after 15 seconds, the Ember Golem heals 7% of full health. |
Its treasure
HoardFound nowhere else. Every fighter gets one roll at this table per kill, on top of the shared hoard, the painting and the rest — see the rewards. None of it is power: it is decoration, a reagent, and a picture of the thing you killed. The rarity column is relative to the others on this table, not a chance. The furniture goes down in your house or your yard like any other placeable, and the portrait hangs on a wall.
| Item | What it is | Rarity |
|---|---|---|
| Common | ||
| Its heart, banked low behind the grate. It glows all night and never needs feeding. | Uncommon | |
| The Golem's own head, which turns out to make an excellent anvil. | Uncommon | |
| A raider who did not get out of the slag in time, cooled and polished. Nobody you know. Probably. | Uncommon | |
| One of the great bellows from its hall, cut down to a size a house can take. It still breathes sparks. | Uncommon | |
| The canvas is fireproof. The first three were not. A framed painting — hang it on a wall of your house. Only a World Boss's hoard gives one up. | Rare |
