Tracking

Tracking is the treasure-map skill on the finding end, where Cartography is the reading end. It also speeds you up on the dungeon floorplan, which is a small mercy on a long crawl. Run it where wanderers walk — a mine, a forest, a dungeon — and a successful reading calls out where the nearest one is standing.

How you train it Start Tracking in any town, or anywhere a wanderer might be: a mine, a forest or a dungeon. Every attempt carries a small chance of turning up a treasure map.

Track where wanderers walk and a successful reading names the nearest one and the way to him — "Gorm Ashvein is to the North East" — over your own head. Only you see it, and a failed reading tells you nothing.
